Mother’s Day is a day set aside to celebrate and honour the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in the society. It is celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the month of March or May.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG) Divine Revelation Parish, Liverpool, United Kingdom joined the rest of the world to celebrates Mother’s Day by reminding mothers to be more effective in nurturing.
The message of the day, delivered by Assistant Pastor Faderera Adepoju, titled: ‘Nurturer‘ . The message underlines the benefits of trusting God totally when we are faced with problems. No matter the situation we are in we should not conclude there is no hope but wait to know God’s purpose for one’s life.
Mrs Adepoju who drew from the well of Psalm 68:5 hinted that every child was born naked but what make the difference is upbringing, pointing out that mothers nurturing plays a huge role in the life of a child.
In her words: ” Problem is not general, failure is not the final, we should not conclude on our live situation, we should wait to know what God has in stock for you.
“Whatever you are passing through, know that every child was born naked but make different is nurture. Nurture plays a big role in a child’s life while growing“, said Adepoju.
Mrs Adepoju a physiotherapist and a product of the prestigious University of Ibadan urged parents to transmit God’s treasure into the life of their children so that they would be a good home builder in the future.
“We are transmitter of God’s centeredness, we should create home to have a better bounding and to raise Godly children who would definitely would showcase God’s purpose”.
She emphasized that God has a place for everyone in one position or other as she quoted from the book of Jeremiah 35:18-19 about the ‘Rechabites’. The grace of God is available and at any time He releases it, mothers are nurturers or developers.
“One can decide to be a basket or bowl, if the grace or gift of God is release and if you are at the level of basket or tray, no matter how water is pour in the basket; it will not stay.
“We have to leave the level of basket, many of us have wasted the grace of God like a basket, but God is calling us to a higher fellowship with Him in order to be nurtured.
“He wants to bring out the capacity in us and if you chose not to build your capacity in God, He will put you aside” Mrs Faderera stressed.
